The SAA5040B is a MOS N-channel integrated circuit. The SAA5040B performs the control, data acquisition and data routing functions of the teletext system. The circuit differs in the on-screen display that is provided and in the decoding of the remote-control commands. The functions of the circuit are detailed in Tables 1, 2 and 3; throughout the remainder of the data, the SAA5040B is referred to when the complete series of circuits is being described. The applications of the SAA5040B include teletext, data acqulstion.
